Update & Loads More

Wow feels like ages since I last wrote a blog on here.... Sorrryyy. I've been super busy with new things :D

Firstly I am busy working on setting up my new project. A youth transport project, if you live in the East Riding and you are reading this it would be great if you could fill out this survey to help me with my research into this new project.

As well as this I've been busy with other things like meeting with the guys at Talent Match Humber for a meeting about Humber Business Week. This will be a good opportunity for businesses to talk directly to young people to discover solutions on how they can access the talents of young people.

If you are a business and this interests you make sure you email Chantelle.snee@hlc-vol.org!

Finally I've been busy at college (Only 9 weeks left!) Photo from the East Riding College Volunteer Fair with me and Quilly the Guide Dog & East Riding Voluntary Action Services

Now the amazing charity FixersUK are continuing to run the National Good Gestures Day, which was created by Stephen SuttonWith this event Stephen wanted to inspire young people to spread happiness within their local communities, with just simple acts of kindness.

Good Gestures Day has now been turned into a nationwide event that was inspired by Stephen's original campaign. Stephen had one great philosophy which was not to focus on the negative things in life, but to promote positivity within his community and further.

Stephen unfortunately passed away on the 14th May 2014 after battling cancer for three-and-a-half years, but he has left this amazing idea behind and many people will be supporting his campaign.

National Good Gestures Day will take place in many areas of the UK and you can see where the events will take place and more on the FixersUK website here: fixers.org.uk
